President Johnson listens to tape from Vietnam, 1968

“President Lyndon B. Johnson listens to tape sent by Captain Charles Robb from Vietnam, 07/31/1968″
On December 9, 1967, President Johnson’s daughter, Lynda Bird Johnson, married in the East Room of the White House to U.S. Marine Corps Captain Charles S. Robb. Though the photo’s original caption does not mention it, LBJ is actually listening to his son-in-law’s reports. Robb served with distinction in Vietnam and became a politician.
