“And those who were seen dancing were thought to be insane by those who could not hear the music.”

- Friedrich Nietzsche, German philosopher

[Zim's Note: As most of the repeat HistoryByZim'ers could easily tell that I love a good quote (and photo, but that is a bit off topic right now). This particular quote by Friedrich Nietzsche is one of my all-time favorites. I also wanted to mention that Nietzsche has one of the coolest mustaches in history. If you do not trust my word, please google "Friedrich Nietzsche" and "mustache" and find out for yourself, you will not regret it! Besides a great quote and photo I love a great historical mustache, if you know any other famous individual with an epic mustache (or beard) leave a comment and let me know!!]

  1. My favorite historical “facial hair” gentlemen would have to be General Ambrose Burnside. Not only was he a Civil War general, he was also the founder of the sideburns!!! Keep up the great work!!!

  2. Brittany – LOVE IT!! The infamous General Burnside! Did you know that “sideburns” were initially called “burnsides” before people switched the words around?! I like to think of General Burnsides as the great-grandfather of Wolverine…
